Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. BellQR uses cookies and similar technologies only where needed to operate the service and understand visit-level product usage.
2. Types We Use
- Venue public menu session continuity cookie (`bellqr_session_token`): required so a guest can complete one menu visit. This is treated as a session cookie for browser continuity, with a server-side maximum visit lifetime of 24 hours.
- Optional browser storage for user-facing features (for example, local saved items and UI state). Its sole purpose is to improve the user experience, and it is not used for cross-visit analytics identity.
BellQR menu analytics are first-party and visit-scoped through `guest_session_id`. BellQR does not use persistent device IDs, fingerprinting, or other cross-visit identifiers in these flows.
3. Why No Cookie Banner on Public Menu
BellQR does not show a cookie consent banner on BellQR menus because storage in these flows is limited to strictly necessary session continuity, user-experience support, and visit-scoped operational analytics used to run and improve the menu service.
4. How To Manage Cookies
You can control cookies in your browser settings, including deleting existing cookies and blocking future cookies. Blocking essential cookies may affect website functionality.

5. Retention and Third Parties
Cookie retention periods vary by purpose and are limited to what is reasonably necessary. Venue public menu visit continuity is limited by the session model and 24-hour server-side visit cap.
